What you are buying

Puzzably sells made-to-order jigsaw puzzles in two forms: custom puzzles (500 or 1000 pieces, created from a photo you upload or an AI-generated image you approve in the studio, with an optional collector tin upgrade) and ready-made catalog design puzzles (existing designs from our catalog, also in 500 or 1000 pieces). The price for your order is the price shown at checkout.

Because every order is made to order, your puzzle is manufactured specifically for you. Production begins shortly after you confirm your order. There is no pre-made inventory. Every purchase is a one-time purchase; nothing in these Terms creates a recurring charge.

Payment

All prices are in US dollars. Payment is processed at the time you confirm your order. We use Stripe for payment processing. Puzzably does not store your card details.

You are charged once, at the time of purchase, at the price shown at checkout. There are no recurring charges.

If a payment fails, we will notify you by email. Unresolved payment failures may result in order cancellation. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors; if a price shown was incorrect, we will contact you before proceeding.

Who you are buying from

Puzzably is a brand operated by Puya Ventures LLC d/b/a Puzzably, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of New York. When you place an order or use this site, you are entering into an agreement with Puya Ventures LLC d/b/a Puzzably.

AI-generated content

Your puzzle image is produced by a generative AI model (currently Flux, hosted on Replicate) using the text prompt or uploaded photo you provide. Generative AI is creative and probabilistic by nature. This means:

Results may vary. The AI-generated image may not match your expectations of the prompt exactly. Styles, compositions, and details are produced by the model and cannot be precisely controlled. Puzzably applies additional prompt tuning to optimize results for physical print at puzzle scale, but we cannot guarantee a specific visual outcome.

The preview is what you get. The preview image shown to you in the studio before you confirm your order is the image that will be printed on your puzzle. Please review it carefully. Once you confirm and place your order, you are approving that image for print.

Puzzably does not guarantee that the generated image will match your prompt exactly. You have the opportunity to review and regenerate the design as many times as you like before confirming, so please get it right in the studio first. If you are still unhappy once the finished puzzle arrives, our happiness guarantee in Section 08 has you covered.

Your content: warranty and indemnity

When you submit a text prompt, upload a photo, or otherwise provide content to Puzzably for use in generating or producing your puzzle, you represent and warrant that:

(a) You own or have obtained all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to use the content for this purpose;

(b) Your content does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and trade dress;

(c) Your content does not violate any third party’s right of publicity, right of privacy, or any other personal right;

(d) Your content complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Puya Ventures LLC d/b/a Puzzably, its members, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (i) your submitted content; (ii) any breach of the representations and warranties above; or (iii) your violation of any third party’s rights. We reserve the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.

Prohibited content

The following types of content are prohibited on Puzzably. We may refuse to process, cancel, or refund any order that we reasonably determine includes prohibited content, with or without detailed explanation:

Trademarks and brand logos. Prompts or uploads that reproduce or closely imitate a registered trademark, brand logo, or trade dress of any company or organization are prohibited. This includes sports team logos, brand wordmarks, and product packaging.

Copyrighted characters and artwork. Prompts requesting images of fictional characters from movies, TV shows, video games, comics, or other copyrighted works are prohibited. This includes characters from Disney, Marvel, DC, Nintendo, and similar rights holders.

Real and public figures. Prompts that generate realistic likenesses of real, identifiable people (including celebrities, politicians, athletes, public figures, and private individuals) without their explicit consent are prohibited. Fan-art style depictions of celebrities are also prohibited unless clearly abstract or fictional.

Sexual or explicit content. Any content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene is prohibited. This applies to both text prompts and uploaded images.

Hateful or harmful content. Content that promotes, glorifies, or depicts violence, hate speech, discrimination, illegal activity, or harm to any person or group is prohibited.

Puzzably operates an automated content screening gate as part of the order process. However, automated screening does not catch everything. By submitting content, you confirm it does not fall into the categories above, regardless of whether it passes automated checks.

If we cancel an order due to prohibited content, we will refund the amount charged for that order.

Intellectual property of outputs

Copyright status of AI-generated images. Under current US copyright law, purely AI-generated images (images created by an AI model without sufficient human creative authorship) may not be eligible for copyright protection. The law in this area is still developing. By using Puzzably, you acknowledge this uncertainty.

What you receive. Once your order is confirmed and delivered, Puzzably grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the generated image for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may display it, photograph it, and share it for personal enjoyment. You may not resell, sublicense, or use the image in commercial products without our prior written consent.

Puzzably’s rights. Puzzably retains the right to use generated images (without personally identifying information or prompt text) in marketing materials, on our website, and on social media. If you would prefer that your image not be used in this way, email hello@puzzably.com and we will honor that request.

Third-party claims. AI-generated images may raise novel intellectual property questions. We cannot guarantee that a generated image is free from third-party intellectual property claims. You accept this risk when you use the service. The indemnification in Section 05 applies.

Puzzably’s own IP. The Puzzably name, logo, site design, and all original content created by Puzzably are the property of Puya Ventures LLC d/b/a Puzzably and may not be used without permission.

Made-to-order. Our quality guarantee.

Every Puzzably puzzle is manufactured specifically for your order, so please review your image carefully in the preview step before confirming. That said, we stand behind every puzzle.

Happiness guarantee. If you are not happy with how your puzzle turned out, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will remake it or issue a full refund, at your choice. You do not need to return the puzzle. This applies whether the issue is a defect or simply that the finished puzzle did not meet your expectations.

Damaged in transit. If your puzzle arrives with physical damage from shipping, email us at hello@puzzably.com within 14 days of delivery with a photo. We will send a free replacement. No return shipping required.

Missing pieces. If your puzzle is missing one or more pieces, email us with your order number. We will ship a full replacement puzzle at no charge.

Print defects. If the printed image is significantly different from the preview you approved (for example, severe color shift, blurring, or misalignment), email us within 14 days of delivery with a photo showing the issue. Confirmed print defects receive one free replacement. If the replacement also has a defect, we will issue a full refund.

Wrong address. If your order was shipped to the wrong address due to an error on our side, we will send a free replacement. If you entered an incorrect address at checkout, contact us and we will quote the cost of a reship.

Pre-dispatch cancellation. Contact us within approximately 24 hours of ordering to cancel for a full refund. Once production has started, the custom-made policy applies.

We do not cover damage caused after delivery (dropped, wet, assembled and disassembled improperly, or otherwise mishandled by the customer).

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Puzzably’s total liability to you for any claim arising from your purchase or use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

Puzzably is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. If you are in such a jurisdiction, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by local law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Puzzably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York.

The contracting entity is Puya Ventures LLC d/b/a Puzzably, organized under New York law.

Puzzably ships to the United States and to a selection of international destinations (currently the EU, the UK, Canada, and Australia). Available destinations and shipping prices are shown at checkout.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify customers by email. Your continued use of Puzzably after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
