How the handoff works

  1. You purchase the gift at checkout. No recipient address required — we send the gift code to the recipient by email.

  2. The recipient receives their gift code. They create a Puzzably account and apply the code. The subscription is theirs from that point forward.

  3. They enter their shipping address in their account. The first edition ships on the next available 1st-of-month date.

  4. Each month, they have access to the Studio to shape the following edition. Or they let us generate it. Either way, something arrives.

Gift questions

Does the recipient need an account to redeem the gift?
Yes. The recipient receives a gift code by email. They create their own Puzzably account, apply the code at checkout, and their subscription begins from the next available shipping date. The account is entirely theirs — we do not share their activity with the gift giver.
Who chooses the puzzle image?
The recipient. Once their account is active, they have access to the Studio for each month of their subscription, exactly like any other subscriber. If they prefer not to engage with the Studio, we generate the edition on their behalf using our own prompt for that month.
Can I specify a delivery date for the gift code?
Yes. At checkout you can set a future delivery date for the gift email — useful for birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. The code is delivered to the recipient's email address at the time you specify. Physical editions ship on the 1st of the month following account activation.
What if the recipient already subscribes to Puzzably?
The gift code extends their existing subscription rather than creating a duplicate. A Core subscriber receiving a single-puzzle gift gets one additional month. An Archive subscriber receiving the Archive gift gets an additional year from their renewal date. Contact us if you have an unusual situation and we will sort it out.
